Comparative Analysis of the Dynamic Characteristics of the Process of Ensyme Oxidation of DL-dopa to Dopa-chrome by Typosinase, Modulated by Spin-labeled Triazenes

Abstract. We have previously reported the synthesis of a new class triazenes, containing nitroxyl radicals in their structures. The influence of the spin labeled triazens on the process of enzyme oxidation of DOPA to DOPA-chrome by tyrosinase – a key enzyme in the melanin biosynthesis was studied. The dynamic characteristics of the transient process: steady state level, settling time, time constant, normalized coefficient of quality factor and half life time were compared. The data clearly show that the enhancement of the tyrosinase activity by all studied compounds is due to the nitroxyl radical moiety in their structures.
