Virtual Reality
Fouad Sabry
This textbook is part of Fouad Sabry’s great ‘Encyclopedia of Emerging Technologies‘ series, in which he demonstrated the power of emerging technologies by using an AI fed on Google search data records to publish 365 educational textbooks on 365 very different subjects, in the space of one year.

As a result, whilst large stretches of this book are scientifically accurate, falsehoods have crept in throughout. As an example, it opens with the phrase “Taking the concept of augmented reality to the next level by creating a fully computer-generated simulation of a different world”, which the book immediately expands upon by stating that augmented reality came first, and virtual reality developed out of it. Which, is the exact opposite way to how development occurred in reality.
-
As such this textbook is of limited use, as it is very difficult without already having a rich understanding of the subject matter, to tell which chapters are mostly truth and which are outright fabrication.
