Reform Jewish Practice and Its Rabbinic Background
D.D. Solomon B. FreehofThe basis of this new book is the combined one-volume edition of "Reform Jewish Practice." At the end of each section of the book there have been appended recent responsa (from the various Responsa volumes) dealing with the theme discussed in the section. Then, in addition, at the end of the book there is an entirely new section entitled "Medical Ethics." This section contains a number of responsa dealing chiefly with the new problems in halacha which have risen out of the modern changes in medicine and surgery, such as the determination of death, the transplanting of bodily organs, etc. In addition, a Teachers' Guide is also being provided.
