Kristen Kroiter was sixteen, a high-school sophomore injured in a car accident. Dr. Ted Cogan saved her life when he treated her in the ER six months ago -- but now the police are questioning Cogan about her. What's going on; What has she told them; The problem is Kristen didn't tell the cops anything. She's dead -- an apparent suicide. Tense and twisting, Knife Music is the story of a doctor struggling to clear his name after being accused of raping and causing the suicide of a young girl. Pitted against Cogan is handicapped veteran detective Hank Madden, who tries to suppress his prejudices while investigating the case of a 43-year-old self-described womanizer.
